Scentsy Obsessed!
I feel very blessed to have found Scentsy! For me it was truly a case of word of mouth! One of my best friends, Shelly – a fellow fragrance obsessed person – called and during our convo she raved about her latest find – Scentsy. First she told me how wonderful her entire home smelled, followed by – I got all this stuff for $50! So, I had to try it out – purchased a Scentsy system myself – went in completely blind on fragrances – picked a few I thought I would like from the descriptions and anxiously awaited my shipment!
When it arrived, I immediately put it to the test – and I was completely amazed. I tested 2 cubes and ran my warmer for about 12-15 hours per day and I had scent for nearly 5 days! Unbelievable! I knew immediately I wanted to become a consultant!! My initial reaction was – Finally!!! I can have daily fragrance and it’s not going to cost me a fortune!
Being an “aromatherapy or home fragrance obsessed person” I have ran the gammit on home fragrance items – Candles (Gold Canyon, Party Lite, WW, Yankee, off brands), tart warmers, Reed Diffusers (expensive to inexpensive), Infusion Lamps – (LaTeeDa – off brands) (verrrryyyy expensive habit), Febreeze (who doesn’t love Febreeze), scented beads, crystals, Ionizers- basically you name it – I’ve tried it! Infusion Lamps – did fill my home with scent – but for about $8 every time I ran the lamp – talk about $$$. Candles – of course candles worked, but the best candles are always pretty high dollar, burn away if used frequently – and I’m always trimming the wick and cleaning the soot from the rims of the jars – not to mention – the mental note of blowing the flame out when done! All of these things – due to the expense – I really used when someone was stopping by … having company..you know the drill!
It’s not that I have a stinky home – it’s just that day to day living – whether winter or summer, my windows are shut – and well smells are just there..whether it’s what I made for dinner (or heaven forbid burn the popcorn in the microwave – there’s a killer!), the “after-bath – let’s race all over everything” game with my Shih-Tzu Loki – which means anything could now be damp (the bed, the couch, the chair, the carpet….HIS bed) and basically just stale, trapped air. There is something so refreshing about walking through the house and smelling something yummy!
Scentsy gives me everything I need – NO fire hazard being the most important! I no longer have to make a mental note to blow out a candle when leaving or going to sleep and I don’t have to worry about where Scentsy sits, so that my pet doesn’t “swish” a tail through a flame! In another post, I’ll talk more about “my field experiments” and update you with information on just how safe a Scentsy warmer truly is!
Tied with no fire hazard we have – INEXPENSIVE. I’m just not sure which is more important! I’m going with both equally! Once you’ve purchased a warmer (also relatively inexpensive - $30 – full size warmer, $25 – mid size warmer or $15 – plug-in warmer) a little scent goes a very long way!
I did the math! On an average, I burn 2 cubes per warmer and I run my warmers around the clock and normally I get about 4-5 days worth of scent. I’m trying to be better about remembering to turn my warmer off at night – mainly because my 2 cubes go further this way! My good friend Jennifer did a field test for me – she reports that 1 cube of Paradise Punch at her place of business lasted 41 hours! She noted that the she only ran the warmer 4 hours per day – turned it off – and the scent remained all day. 41 hours for .63!!! (each scent bar contains 8 cubes - $5/bar). Everyone that entered their offices – commented on how great it smelled!! When you take advantage of the combine and save – 3 bars for $14 (.59/cube) or 6 bars for $25 (.52/cube) or once you find the scents you cannot live without – a brick (approx 48 cubes of ONE scent) for $20 (.42/cube) – at the most for 2 cubes every 5 days – runs anywhere from $7.56 to $5.04 per month..per warmer. Keep in mind these are my figures – running a warmer 24/7. The less you run your warmer and/or only warming 1 cube vs. 2…the less the cost! This is daily fragrance people!! A 3 or 6 bar purchase – approximately 3 to 6 months of scent!!
Let’s add icing to the cake with over 80 scents to choose from! Unreal!! There is simply something for everyone – men included!! Having a home smelling great – not just a girl thing anymore!!
Low residue wax – the Scentsy warmer uses a low watt bulb to slowly warm the wax! You’ll notice that the scent will be depleted and you nearly have the same amount of wax you started with! This means it’s not all over your walls/home. No more smoke – no soot – no waxy residue! Clean up is easy! Simply pour the depleted wax straight into your trash can – wax never gets so hot – it will NOT burn through a plastic trash bag! You can wipe out with paper towels – or run very hot water and rinse what little wax is left after you’ve poured it out…wipe clean and you’re ready for new cubes!
Better yet – just want to change scents, but what you have in your warmer isn’t depleted yet? Simply pour the wax back into the bar mold – use it again later!! Can you believe it?
So, to sum it up – Safe to use – Inexpensive – extremely long lasting fragrance!
Here’s what I know – financially it’s not a picnic in our world right now. Luxuries are the first thing to go on everyone’s monthly budget. I also know this – no matter how broke – we always find a way to buy that one small item….and many times – it’s that candle with the scent that makes us feel better to smell something great! Now, we don’t have to break the bank AND we can treat ourselves daily!!
The downside??!! – My friend Rick tells me – he comes through the door at the end of the day – thrilled to smell pie/cookies/cake – yay it’s snack time! Ooops! It’s his wife’s Scentsy!! Bummer Dude! No Desert – just smells like it!!!

Hello fellow aromatherapy obsessed persons!! Welcome to my first blog ever! I'm so excited to be fortunate enough to introduce many of you to Scentsy!
I've wanted a way I can post information often so my client's can read up on what I'm up to in a current fashion! While I have the "Read My Story" link on my Scentsy site: http://scentsy.us/lisalu, I didn't want to bog it down with daily or weekly postings - so here I am!
I'm out and about just about every day and if I've just given you a brochure or catalog with a scent sample attached - the samples I'm currently handing out are:

My goal is to make this as convenient as possible for my clients! I have a total of 7 mini sampler sets and as of this moment - all of them are checked out!
